Availability
Most varieties of Green Giant Fresh potatoes are available year round.

Selection
Select potatoes that are well-formed, smooth, firm, without cracks, discoloration, bruises or soft spots.

Storage
Potatoes store best in a dark, dry, and well ventilated area. Avoid placing potatoes in direct light.

Preparation
Scrub potato well under cold running water.


Cooking
Coventional Oven Directions

Scrub potato well under cold running water. Pierce with fork in several places. Place potato directly on oven rack. Bake at 425 F for 50 to 60 minutes. Potato is done when fork easily pierces it.

Microwave
Scrub potato well under cold running water. Pierce with fork in several places. Place on paper towel. microwave one medium potato on HIGH 2-1/2 to 5 minutes. Turn once halfway through cooking. Cool until potato just begins to feel soft when pressed. Remove form Microwave. Wrap in foil. Let stand 5 minutes.
